Work Experience
Radiology Tech/MRI Tech
Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center - Knoxville, TN February 2020 to November 2023
As a registered Radiology Tech (from 2/20-9/21) I was working primarily in the emergency room due to the hours I was scheduled at work. Periodically, I would do some cases in the main department, such as fluoro, general x-ray, running the C-arm during surgery cases, or portables in patient's rooms. But most of my time was spent performing general x-rays on patients that came into the emergency room, either portably or in the x-ray examination room. I was responsible for completing the exam in the patient's chart in cerner, then forwarding the images to the radiologist, in our PACS system, for them to read. I was then trained to do MRI and as an MRI Tech we had to screen patients to make sure they were safe to go into zone 4, start IV’s if necessary, scan patient, process images and send to radiologist for a reading.
