April 2001 – Present Valley Surgical Clinics /Acute Care Surgical Specialist
During my time with Valley Surgical Clinics, I have had the opportunity to advance to many positions within the company over the many years. Starting with the company in 2001 as a receptionist. I was then promoted to work as a patient care coordinator and most recently was promoted to coordinate the trauma clinic as the sole MA. My current role includes surgery authorizations. My past duties included the preparation of charts for the same day and next day clinics, recording patient’s medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records. Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies. My roles have included: answering multi-line phones, triage patient calls, fill out FMLA paperwork, authorized surgeries and radiology, schedule surgeries and testing, set up home health for patients, set up exam rooms for office produce and assist doctors with produces, process surgical instruments, assist with patients check in and out.
