Management

•In 1998 I became a federally certified day care provider for the United States Navy. I ran my own business out of my home with oversight from a federally governed body. I took in infants from six weeks old to two years old. In two instances the federal government brought to me two children who had been abused by a previous provider. In my care they were able to overcome the trauma they had endured.

•In my current position I am the educator for all staff in my facility and for the new hires coming into the facility. I have held this position for almost twenty years. I love to learn, and I love to teach. I am the lead technician on the treatment floor and still take care of my own pod.

Sales

•I have not held a sales position for several years. While in FFA I placed first in the state for sales.

Communication

•I placed first in the state while in FFA in my senior year of high school for salesmanship. This deals with communication, body language, and the ability to help the customer feel validated.

• I must communicate well everyday whether I am at work or at home. I have an autistic son who does not always understand subversive conversation. Social cues are not always people’s strong points, neither is emotional intelligence. I am strong in these areas. Being a person who loves to learn and teach I must be an emotionally intelligent person as well as a great communicator to all types of people.

Leadership

•At my current employ I am the lead technician, preceptor, and I am always the one other staff look to for help. I have taken an extensive leadership class within DaVita and graduated in 2018.

Experience:

•Currently I am dual employed. I work at The Saravilla mansion/bed and breakfast as the head housekeeper. I also help with events and prepare food that is served to guests.

•Started out as a reuse technician and moved quickly into dialysis technician. After working with them for only two years I was asked to be an educator and preceptor.

Self Employed:

•I ran a federally certified day care while my husband was in the United States Navy.

•I am a self-starter. I will only ask for help if it is needed. I do not mind collaboration.
