Inventory Control Accountant/ Bookkeeper 2019 - Present Ltd Distributors (Pty) LTD Cape Town South Africa

Main duties;

• Devising ways to optimize inventory control procedures.

• Perform product and customer costings.

• Compile costing information and perform ad hoc costings as required.

• Coordinate inventory counts and resolve variances.

• Compile and maintain reports to track performances and KPI’s and deliver reports to management.

• Maintain computerized record of all supplies and track their location, repair needs and use rate.

• Inspecting the levels of supplies and raw material to identify re-order levels.

• Calculating production recovery costs and ensuring BOM’s are accurate.

• Review WIP to ensure accuracy, investigate reasons for variances and drive corrective actions.

• Complete landed cost calculations for imported raw materials and ensure inventory is valued correctly.

Bookkeeping duties

• Reporting and planning of all financial and management information within finance

• Full debtors and creditors' functions

• Generate internal management reports.

• Providing commentary on financial results and implications and advise corrective action to be taken.

• Interacting with business unit line managers on financial outcomes, expense trends, etc.

• Providing financial assistance and training to line managers.

• Trial balance reconciliations and monthly management account compilations

• Creation of budgets and cash flow forecasts for various departments

• Compiling and submitting all company tax records

• Management of staff

• Advanced computer skills in Excel, Pastel & QuickBooks Education
