Position: Store Keeper

Responsibilities:

Aircraft spares storage kept in a bonded warehouse/store. That is a place with restricted access.

This is necessary to ensure serviceable aircraft parts cannot be mixed with commercial parts, which have a separate store.

Checking the incoming paperwork against the purchase order to ensure the correct part has been supplied.

Checking the part hasn't been damaged in transit.

Giving the part a unique 'batch' number so there is a paperwork trail when that part is fitted to the aircraft.

Giving the part a location in the store so that it can be found in the future.

Maintaining a register of parts in the store.

Maintaining a register of parts which have a shelf life and removing those that have reached the limit.

Receiving unserviceable parts from the maintenance engineers.

Order parts from the supplier.

Dispatching unserviceable parts for repair or scrapping them if they are no repairable items.

Keeping a daily record of the store temperature and humidity.

Maintaining a stock of consumable items, such as cloths, cleaning fluids etc. Period:

Responsibilities:

Plans and performs work that involves receiving, returning, shelving, packing, labeling, delivering, and maintaining a perpetual inventory of forms, and several types of equipment.

Ensures that materials are received in accordance with purchase orders, raises reports for short landed or damaged materials

Receives the copies of purchase orders for equipment, spare parts and consumables prior to arrival of material

Forecasts requirements for storage space and facilities such as shelves, boxes, bins, timber pallets, container, etc.,

Supervises the special packing and stacking of materials for transit and arranges for movement and, where necessary, onward transportation.

Ensures that "FIFO" principle is followed in all materials issuing activities.

Checks that all materials are correctly protected before storage.

Ensures, whilst handling dangerous, Inflammable or toxic materials, that the strictest safety standards are compiled with by Company and/or contractor's employees Checks that storage. Areas are kept in a safe, clean and tidy condition.
