I graduated in 1980 from Weymouth South High School, Weymouth, MA, 02190

Quincy Emergency Medical Training program. Quincy, MA 1991. This was training in the emergency medical field, also Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, where I obtained a national certificate.

Massasoit Community College, Brockton, MA – I attended this college around 1992. This was to take a basic math class as it was needed as a prerequisite for entering into a Health Careers Prep program at my next school. My grade was an A.

Quincy College Quincy, MA. I attended here around 1992-1994. The minor concentration was in Health Careers Prep classes needed as prerequisites for a career in the nursing field. The first course of classes included English literature and poetry, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology. My grades were A and B.

Education continued

University of Phoenix 1625 W. Fountainhead Pkwy., Tempe, AZ 85282. I attended this school in online classes from July5, 2022-April 24, 2023. I received an undergraduate certificate in the field of Medical Records from the NHA. My GPA was a 3.79.

The relevant coursework was-Business Communication skills for healthcare professionals, Healthcare delivery in the U.S., Fundamentals of electronic health records, Anatomy and Physiology 1&2, Medical Insurance, Medical claims processing and compliance, and Medical billing and coding.

Student Project Highlights

Some of the projects were to create charts to compare multiple health plans, research models for different hospitals fees and price plans, and how location affects this.

We learned the best ways to communicate in a business setting, to include all types of people and their customs so as to achieve harmony in the workplace.

Another course taught an understanding of the human body’s function with diseases and conditions that affect it.

We were also taught how each and every medical condition, disease, supply, service, or drug has a corresponding code for the purpose of billing medical claims.

Work Experience

My first jobs as a teenager were at a department store called Zayre in Braintree, MA. McDonalds restaurant in Weymouth, MA. This was in the 1970’s. My duties were to keep the different departments clean and orderly, ticket merchandise, and help customers.

Early years after graduating high school1980-1983

After high school I worked at 3 insurance companies. They were John Hancock in Boston, Kemper, also in Boston, and CNA in Quincy, MA. My duties were to type insurance policies of the company’s clients on a manual typewriter. Everything was not computerized yet.

Cleaning-1983-2020. I cleaned for Ross Kinsman Cleaning company and Merry Maids for 2 years before deciding to become self-employed in the cleaning field. I had up to 15 clients at one time. Some for as many as 15 years. There is a break in some of the years when I got married and had 2 children. From 2017-2020 I maintained the cleanliness of Sandbox Medical in Pembroke, MA.

Food/Restaurant experience. I worked for several restaurants including Napoli Pizza, Weymouth, MA (4 years) New England House of Pizza, Braintree, MA (2 years). My duties at Napoli were the most extensive, as I worked hand-in-hand with the owner to run the store, order supplies, take orders over the telephone, prepare customers' orders, and deliver the food to customers.

Work Experience continued

I have worked for 3 Home Health Agencies. They are Best of Care, Quincy, MA. Anodyne, Quincy, MA. Home Instead, Norwell, MA and Surprise, AZ. My duties at the first two were as a home health aide. I was able to give personal care to the elderly and disabled as my EMT license was still active. Home Instead I started in 2020 in MA as a caregiver to the elderly. The pandemic ended that job. I worked at the Surprise, AZ office for just a few months. I left there because of scheduling difficulties.

Amazon, Tusc 1 5333 W. Lower Buckeye Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Employed from Dec. 2020-August 2021. My job title here was return processor. My duties were to take customers' returns off the line to be processed as a returned item. I left here because it was a very demanding physical position.

Doordash 2021-present. My duties are to shop for customers' orders, pick-up orders from stores/restaurants, and deliver it to the customer.
