Dear Emmy Angel,

On the basis of credentials on file with this Service, we certify that Akanksha Shukla has completed studies (1999, 2001)

validated by the Central Board of Secondary Education, located in Delhi, India, passing the Delhi Secondary School

Examination in March 1999 and the Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination in March 2001.

These studies are considered equivalent to graduation from a regionally accredited senior high school in the United States.

Ms. Shukla completed additional studies (2001-07) at the University of Rajasthan, located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India,

eaming the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery on February 16, 2008.

The program completed by Ms. Shukla requires four and one-half years of study and one year of internship beyond

completion of secondary education in India. The degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is the first degree

in medicine, and is the academic qualification for practicing medicine in India.

These studies are considered comparable in level and purpose to the first professional degree in medicine, awarded by

regionally accredited universities in the United States.

In the US, the Doctor of Medicine (MD) is the entry-level standard for professional practice in medicine, typically

representing a total of eight years of postsecondary study.
