My reason for going to get a second job was because I truly needed the extra income I thought it would work because I was mainly 11 pm - 7 am and they hired me for 3 pm - 11 pm which is also what I applied for because I felt I could make that work. Then my GM goes out of time and I was put on 7 am - 3 pm which I explained because I sometimes can't get off right away or even for hours it may not be a good idea so I couldn't make it a lot of the times on time or even at all when I end up doing a double So I wrote an email and in it, I said if we can't be cool with My employer with whom I was employed with initially then that's just end. However, they have that I was terminated because I couldn't make it work with both jobs. Front Desk Clerk/Night Auditor

Denny's - Virginia Beach, VA
March 2014 to May 2017
I would welcome the guest, seat them, give them a menu. I would then take their drink orders and give them time to look over the menu while I prepared the drinks. Once I brought the drinks back I would then see if they were ready to order. If they were I would take the orders and put the orders into the POS system and while I waited on their food I would attend to other guests that I had previously or ones that were put in my section. Once the food was ready I would bring the food out to them, I would check on them not enough to annoy them but enough so that they know they are getting the best service. I also pre-bust during which I would bring the check. Once done I would accept the payment at the table and take it back cash it out and bring them their receipt with any change if applicable, or I would meet them at the register.
Doing this job was good because I could work it in between other jobs. Desk Clerk/Night Auditor

Waffle House - Virginia Beach, VA

I seated customers, gave them menus and took the beverage order. Then I would go put in the drink order, make the drinks bring them back and take the food order. Once they are ready to order I take their order and put it in. While the order is cooking I would go check on other customers as well as the ones who's order I just put in to make sure they have drinks. Once the food is ready I would bring it to the customers, I would re-check the drinks and let them enjoy their food. I did o back and check on them to remove dishes they were done with as well as ask if they wanted more drinks. Once they are close to finished I would ask if they wanted dessert and if not bring the check. If they did want dessert I would bring the check a few moments after I have given them the dessert. Once they are done eating I would cash them out and thank them and ask them to come again. Sales Associate/Cashier
