The project was in the neighborhood of seven hundred fifty thousand man-hours including civil, concrete, structural, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical and piping crafts.

The client was Stillwater Mining Company and the scope of work included boring two fifteen-foot diameter tunnels three and a half miles into the side of a mountain for platinum and palladium mining. Along with the tunnels the scope also entailed the construction of all the surface facilities, which included various office buildings, a crusher/radial stacking facility with a three-and-a-half-mile long conveyor system running from underground to the surface and a two thousand ton per day capacity concentrator.
