Distribution Officer

Facilitate and support the National Medical Supply Agency (NMSA) on Procuring, Distributing and the Storage of all Medical Supplies across the country based on the act of parliament of 2017, through the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, in a project called Saving Lives II for First Mile and Last Mile.

The Distribution Officer is a supply chain professional with experience conducting Logistics, Distributions, Procurement, Stores management, Stock take, Report writing, Audits and Quality control in complex environments.

Key responsibilities:

.Carryout license, Insurance, servicing and maintenance of all Ministry and Health and Sanitation Trucks that take part on the First and Last Mile. Prepare trip reports, Distribution report, Monthly report, Stock take report. Etc.

•Support the distribution of pharmaceuticals required for the Saving Lives programme • Carry out distributions when required • Carry out roaming visits to provide spot checks and QA on quantities of deliveries received • Carry out roaming visits to support long term mentoring and skills building to the district-based stores management • Utilize a continuous improvement approach to ensure service is of high quality and solutions used are sustainable and represent good value for money • Maintain key relationships and coordinate with the GoSL, DFID, UN, Montrose and IRC.
