High School Construction Industry

James (Jim) Asbury,

I have spent ** years in management and sales. I was born in

South Bend Indiana, 01-15-1955. I grew up in Northern Indiana

for a good portion of my high school days. I joined a Band with

a couple of my good friends, and we played together for about

15 years. I worked in construction for a short while and then in

1973 after graduation from high school, I joined the US Marine

Corps and spent time in Vietnam. When I was discharged. I

started in sales once again an as stated I have been in sales for

quite a while and still enjoy it.

Moved to Merrillville, IN. And I started working for a company

Selling to the construction industry. A partner of mine and I,

decided to buy the company and took over within 6 months. We

had a good run with the business and after 11 years, we were

asked to become a part of their company which was nationwide.

It was a good move.

I lost both of my parents in 1991, I have 2 older brothers, are

very close and have fun together often. After leaving

Merrillville, I bought 7 Acres secluded and built my dream

home with no neighbors close by!

I love the outdoors and thank God for giving us the bounty of

fish and creatures that we can enjoy watching and sometimes to

eat! I am also very much an expert with shooting skills and

protection,(marine corps of course) I love walking the beautiful

area’s around here and seeing wildlife and beautiful count.

I am bored a lot and still open to working in sales again soon!
