DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducting regular inspections of facades and identifying any defects or issues that need to be addressed.

Developing and implementing quality control procedures for facade construction and installation.

Working with project managers, architects, and construction teams to ensure that facades are designed and installed according to specifications and standards.

Reviewing shop drawings, mockups, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Civil and Architectural

GRC (SETTING-OUT/LEVELLING) & INSTALLATION:

PREPARATION

Checks & reviews carefully the approved Shop Drawings (Plans, Elevations, Sections & Typical Details), as per Survey & Measurements in actual installation at Site.

Check & ensure that prior to installation works, approved MEP clearances are provided and handover of the areas in writing as required for installation to proceed.

Rockwool and MEP clearance must be required prior to the installation of brackets

Checks internally, any installation-inspection to be raised officially coordinated with all MEP Services, Other Trades/Discipline, as clearances, pertinent to the quality of works installed & related workmanship issues that needs to be rectified immediately, before inspections shall be raised officially.

For Brackets Installation.

- Checks & ensures, that 3rd Party Test for the anchorage supports (pull-out test & torque test) had been conducted-implemented as witnessed by the Consultant via official inspections.

- Checks & ensures, that brackets installed are as per approved shop drawing, survey, structural calculation and Project Specifications. Bracket material shall be weld able structural steel, to comply with the tolerances on dimensions and shapes and comply with the technical delivery conditions of hot-rolled products for structural steel.

- Ensure bracket is hot-dip galvanized and no cutting drilling of holes and welding to be done after galvanizing.

- Ensure design of brackets allows for vertical and horizontal movements after fixing.

- Ensure brackets fix in steel pipe are with adjustment in three directions to overcome dimensional variations such as slotted holes and site-drilling or welding after positioning of components (for final fixing after initial fixing with slotted holes).

- Ensure to combine with serrated surfaces to prevent further movement after adjustment.

- Check & ensure that safety line for securing any personnel and equipment are there at the area of inspection as required.

- Checks & ensures, that the installed-fixed brackets are in accordance to the approved shop drawing layout plan and section as reference for the setting-out. And Structural shims

(plastic/fibre) should be used as German standard to maintain the level of the brackets.

- Checks & ensures that the position and level are in accordance to survey markings and key bracket.

- Check & ensures, that all bolts are tightened using torque wrench. Torque are to be adjusted as per Design requirement (frequency as per ITP) & 3rd party inspections are raised officially.

Attends Inspection for Installation (IRW) officially with AEB-CSC, as coordinated, in the presence of the Subcontractor’s QC Engineer/Inspector representative, in strict compliance with the approved ITP.

Checks & ensures that proper approved scaffoldings/ladders are provided across the perimeter of the building over the total height were the curtain walls are installed & full body harnesses and 100% tie off is available as required & mandatory.

Rejects any inspections-work installations, raised by the Subcontractor, that are not satisfactorily acceptable as per actual installation, with poor quality of works or any other related issues unacceptable. And/or documents attachments (as approved by AEB-CSC) are incomplete.

Responsible for the Work Entire Quality Assurance, quality control & inspection programs & for overseeing the Quality Requirements and Quality Control measures for the Project in coordination with the Site Engineers & Subcontractors.

INSTALLATION

- Check and ensure the installation of GRC panels as per the survey setting out and alignment with finishing as per the project specification

- Checks & ensures, after installation of GRC Panels are properly aligned & accessories are

- Checks & ensures, that all installations are carried out in conformity and approved shop drawings as per the recommendation.

- Checks & ensures, as verified & confirmed at site, that proper adjustment had been obtained for its required vertical and horizontal alignment, before final fixation

- Checks & ensures, as verified & confirmed at site, ironmongery such us handle and lock assembly, panic devices (if required), door closers & access control devices are completely fixed, prior to raise official inspection to CSC

- Checks & ensures, for doors with access control device, that openings/provision for the installation of cables/wirings (provision shall be coordinated and agreed with the Engineers and Electrical Works INSPECTION & HANDING OVER:

The inspection must be raised upon the completion of work and cleaning the area before. And ensure the required quality meets the certain work

Checks & ensures, upon QC’s Architect/Engineer/Inspector’s satisfactory acceptance with the completed works, Inspection Request Works (IRW) shall be raised immediately as official to CSC, considering the time frame allocated within the inspection procedure of the project.

Checks & ensures, following the inspection process, any defect (workmanship issues) or non-conformance is to be noted & notification to be given to the Subcontractor, with a time frame allocated for its due time action in doing the rectification works. Upon completion of rectification works, immediately the inspections will be resubmitted.

Checks & ensures, that the temporary protective tape had been removed. This will only be implemented- commence could, to those Zones with clearance given, certifying that all other works are totally completed

& no other work activities from other trades/disciplines (Architectural, MEP Services) are still on-going at any rooms/areas to be handed over.

For Final Cleaning:

- Checks & ensures, that the cleaning manual document is available as approved by the Consultant in accordance to the Manufacturer’s recommendation & Project Specifications.

- Checks & ensures, that the cleaning of all surfaces should & must be in accordance with the approved cleaning manual. Abrasive materials are strictly not to be used & any metallic tools of any kind. With water only to be used with a light non-acid detergent and soft cloth. FOR TECHNICAL REVIEW/CHECKING OF DOCUMENTS:

Prepares Method Statement (MS) & Inspection Test Plan (ITP).

Reviews, checks, edit, make comments, rejects, revise & re-submits, Method Statements (MS) submitted by Sub-Contractors/Suppliers, prior for submission to Consultant/Client, in order to obtain approval.

Reviews, checks & edit, rejects, revise & re-submits, Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s) submitted by Sub- Contractors/Suppliers prior for submission to Consultant/Client, in order to obtain approval.

Evaluates, check & reviews proper submittal of Technical Material Proposals-(Pre-Qualifications, Material Submittals, shop drawings, etc.)

Evaluates, check & reviews proper submittal of Technical Mechanical shop drawing plans. As to be in accordance with the Design criteria/codes, standards, project specifications as primarily required.

Review Material Test Certificates, Inspection and Test Reports, and Manufacturer’s Data Records.

Ensure calibration and maintain calibration records for inspection, measuring and test equipment for the Company, Project and that of the Sub-Contractors.

Verify product for its compliance to approved data sheets drawings, witness testing as approved by ITP.
