EXPERIENCE

Panasonic Automotive, Peachtree City, GA

Indépendant Consultant, 2021-2022

Film Insert Molding and molded in electronics expert called in to assist Panasonic’s vendor Sunningdale at both Singapore and Malaysia facilities having yield issues with starting yields of under 15%. Traveled to Singapore and then to Malaysia on a separate trip. Spent one month at each facility assisting with the identification of process missteps causing the yield issues. Conducted and lead daily round table discussions to identify key issues resulting in yield loss. Quickly determined that the removal of masking done press side was a major contributor to contamination. Process was altered to remove masking prior to delivery to the press operator. Process was also altered to include the use of an anti static blower and string to remove the static created from the removal of the masking. Improved housekeeping and alterations to the HVAC system were also implemented per my recommendations. Yield on all 8 components increased to well over 95% at both facilities saving Panasonic over $400000 monthly in air freight charges.
