Hiring Manager

Please find attached my CV for consideration for the position of Senior Resource Geologist. As my CV will attest most of my experience and successes have been in the exploration for oil and natural gas. But in my opinion a significant portion of my skill sets are transferrable to the exploration for orogenic gold and critical minerals.

These exploration skill sets include and are not limited to core logging of sedimentary and diamond drill cores, extensive use of GIS mapping and modeling software (ArcGIS, Geosoft, Leepfrog, Geographix), interpretation of structural and tectonic events (extensional and compressive shear and strike slip), identifying hydrothermal alteration and key fluid migration episodes, the use of magnetics, gravity and remote sensing datasets, the building of a QA/QC reviewed proprietary geological database for subsurface mapping, identification of key lithologic units that host orogenic gold and critical minerals, supervision of drilling/coring operations and the interpretation of borehole geophysical logs. I am very passionate about generating prospects, designing drilling programs and logging core.

I have completed three remote field seasons that entailed geophysical and geochemical surveying and diamond drill core logging (NE B.C., Yukon, Hudson Bay Lowlands) and field mapping and underground mapping (Sioux Lookout region, Goldlund Mines). In the role of Section Manager Geoscience at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, I was responsible for evaluating the Wawa to White River and Hornepayne regions for potential sites for the disposal of high-level nuclear waste. This detailed evaluation entailed understanding the mineral resource potential of the region, the existing mining operations, and key regional and site-specific structural elements (greenstone belts, major faults, dikes, lineaments, intrusive complexes).

I have developed excellent communication skills having presented to stakeholders, shareholders, government agencies and investment groups. I have well-developed and advanced writing skills having prepared numerous high-level reports to the nuclear industry. I very much enjoy working as part of a team or independently. I have mentored and trained junior staff. In my prior senior management and consulting roles, I have prepared budgets, MD&A’s, annual reports, press releases and was the “Qualified Person” in preparing a multitude of resource assessments (for private and TSXV companies).

Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon at your earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

Duncan Hamilton, M.Sc., P. Geol.
