DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES are including but not limited to: -

•Inspection of Steel to PE City Gas Pipeline.

•Inspection of Trenching, lowering, Padding, backfilling as per MGL Cop.

•Reports review of contractor as per Cop.

•Rt film Review and other NDT test witness as per API 1104.

pre-inspection meetings: -

•Conduct and participate in pre-inspection meetings with client and Vendors and formulating the ways of inspection as the approved inspection test plan.

•Review of Inspection & Test Plan, Material verification, Dimensional inspection, Welding inspection, Final visual & painting inspection.

Fit-up inspection: -

•To check the Fit-up stages prior and confirm that root gap, root face, bevel angle, including angle-mismatch and cleanliness of bevel surface and adjacent area within the acceptable limit.

•Familiar with and hands on with most measuring/inspection tools, equipment & instruments.

•Check and verify the piping fabrication spool, installation and erection based on piping drawing and specification.

Material and welding consumable inspection: -

•Inspection of raw material in accordance with applicable Codes & standard like ASTM, ASME, AWS etc.

•Inspection of filler rods, fluxes and shielding gases. Check proper baking of electrodes as applicable. To check the filler material/electrode condition as AWS CLASS, SIZE.

Welding inspection: -

•Surveillance during welding at different stages.

•Arranging & conducting welder test (WQT) for different positions and processes like SMAW, GTAW etc.

NDT (Non-Destructive Testing): -

•Coordination with NDT team at site. Preparation for NDT jobs and regular coordination with the assigned team.

•Experienced in various Nondestructive inspection techniques in accordance with ASME Sec V like Visual inspection, Ultrasonic inspection, Radiographic inspection, Radiographic film interpretation, Dye Penetrant inspection, Magnetic Particle inspection, etc.
