III. Detail Work Experience

July 2020 to date, Education Development Trust (EDT) ; Regional Technical (Advisor) Expert.

EDT in Ethiopia operating 20-million-pound education project called Technical Assistance to Reinforce GEQIP-E Ethiopia (TARGET) project. Thus, my key roles are Providing technical support & advisor previously for SNNP and Sidama Regional Education Bureau (REBs) & currently for Sidama only in the areas of system strengthening (delivery system), National school Leadership Training program, School Leadership Continuous Professional Development (CPD), data for delivery (online data tracking of activities & collection of data/evidence) and MERA. The Regional Technical advisor basically focused on coordination of all tasks of the project. Thus, my major roles are including but not limited to:

• Providing Technical advice for the regional vice president & Education Bureau Head on educational goals & strategies.

• Supporting system strengthening of REBs through delivery, mentoring & coaching approaches.

• Coordinating and Monitoring the development of Student Text Books, Teachers Guide & TLM for preprimary (“O” class, Accelerated School Readiness and Child to child) and primary education.

• Serve as Regional TOT for READ II’s Community Outreach program on TLM, Parental Awareness Workshop, Reading Camp and Reading & Writing Clubs.

In Teachers’ and Educational Leader’s Capacity Development directorate, I was responsible to support pre-service (working with College of Teachers education) & in-service trainings (short term trainings & upgrading) of Teachers, Educational Leaders, and Educational Experts in collaboration with Ministry of Education. Major responsibilities;

• Coordinate and support Five Colleges of Teachers’ Education in selection, training, community service & budget utilization.

• Coordinate various base line, mid line, capacity gap assessments, EGRA, etc using KOBOTOOL & other ICT

technologies.

• Coordinate & support in-service teacher training and trainings of school leaders in collaboration with MOE & Universities.

• Facilitate Trainings on ECCE, Educational Planning, addressing the issue of girl’s self –esteem and psychological factors affecting girl’s education, concepts of gender and gender/inclusive responsive pedagogy for Linc Community Development.
