Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the Receiving Department. Responsible for safety and security of all stock. Receive all stock accurately. GRV all stock coming into the shop according to the invoice supplied by the agent. All paper work must be accurate and complete. In the case of claims, all claims must be entered into the system according to the agent, so that Spar may deduct the value of the claim to offset the invoices and GRV’s that the store has brought. All claims, both prices and other, must
be filed into the daily file prepared by you. Responsible for the warehouse and the goods inside the warehouse. All goods coming in must be kept safe and well managed. Merchi’s to take stock for packing on shelves. Responsible for all the equipment in the receiving area. All trolleys, computer equipment, scales, telephones and pallet jacks to be supervised at all times. Ensure that all staff uses equipment with care. Responsible for monitoring stock levels in freezers and in the cold rooms for the dairy. Perform daily checks to ensure that goods are free of damages and that all goods are checked in line with the Q-Pro hygiene test requirements. Responsible for safe storing of all lugs and pallets. Ensure that pallets are or collected and returned to the store. The stock control system for lugs and pallets to be maintained on a daily basis. All lugs to be claimed according to the Claims System and must be entered on the system. Daily claims and invoices to be send to Branch Manager before 15h00 every day. Ensure that all claims be send out to the Spar Warehouse every Tuesday before 16h00. On Saturdays, when all goods have been received and documents processed in the receiving area, any assistance should be given in the store where possible.
