PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

U.S.Renal Dialysis,Texas- Biomedical Equipment Technician II (4/2019 to current) Performs preventative maintenance on Renal Dialysis equipment, reverse-osmosis water system, dialysate delivery system and quality controls along with Water system disinfection. Participate in all facility audits. Supervises the day to day activities of staff and Annually Competencies along with monitoring the workflow processes to ensure the accurate and timely completion of assignments according to the SOP time frame and quality standards. KIDNEY CENTER OF ARVADA / AMERICAN RENAL ASSOCIATES - Arvada, Colorado Facility Technical Manager/Safety Coordinator (Jan.11 to July 2013) Relocated to Colorado to open multiple startup Dialysis Facilities in the Denver metro region. Hired, trained and scheduled technical staff and set up policies and procedures to ensure compliance with JCAHO regulations. Met with the Medical Director on a monthly basis for status reports and assisting with new facility openings.

Conducted monthly staff meetings, performed staff evaluations and quarterly audits. Performed preventative maintenance on Renal Dialysis equipment, reverse-osmosis water system, dialysate delivery system and quality controls. UNIVERSITY HEALTH SYSTEM / RENAL DIALYSIS - San Antonio, Texas Chief Technologist / Technical Supervisor and Safety Coordinator (2000 to 2010) In charge of opening multiple new Dialysis Facilities on time and within budget. Hired, trained and supervised staff; Monitored expenses, budget and saved $78,000 in unnecessary costs. Reduced overall operating expenses for each unit. Upgraded policy and procedure manual for Biotech functions at the UHS, and performed all preventive maintenance for Renal Dialysis equipment. Fresenius - Coastel Bend Dialysis-Corpus Christi / New Braunfels, Texas Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician / Biomedical Equipment Technician (1992 to 1999) Monitored patients on hemodialysis–initiated and discontinued treatments; trained new staff in patient care and preceptor for Hemodialysis Education and Patient Care. Worked within the water room on all types of plumbing, R.O. systems, endotoxin and water culture sampling.
