Management/ Special Event Coordinator
r Managing daily operations in a high volume Special Event environment, including overseeing simultaneous special events (two banquet rooms: The Terrace- holding up to 150 guests, The Grand Terrace - holding up to 300 guests), as well as, supervising crews for both events. o Ensuring budgeted labor, food and beverage costs are met in order to minimize cost output and maximize profits
o Scheduling Special Event staff {servers, cooks, dishwashers bartenders} o Taking a hands-on management approach during special events, supporting crew by assisting with any tasks required to ensure smooth service
o Setting prep lists for each Special Event, to ensure the staff are knowledgable of the guests special requests, as well as, the event is set up to the guests specifications: decorations; food service (sit-down or buffet); bar (open, cash, or a set limit); etc. r Working closely with hosts and off-site professionals (Pastors, D.j's, Photographers, Videographers, Florists, Bakery, etc) to coordinate and ensure the special event runs smoothly
r Coordinating and setting a detailed Special Event timeline, for staff and off-site professionals, so everyone is on point with the time for each activity (the ceremony, photographs, introducing the bride/ groom and bridal party, Toasts and speeches, Dinner, couple's first dance, mother/ father dance, cutting of the cake, bouquet/ garter toss, the sending off of the Bride and Groom. Etc.) in order to ensure a smooth, successful, and memorable Special Event
o Working Closely with the Chef regarding the number of guests and the Hosts Menu, as well as, any special requests (vegetarian, allergies, etc- for guests at the event) PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
o Ordering the alcohol for the bar to ensure it is stocked and any special requests of the hosts for alcohol is on hand
r Hirin& training, educating coaching, and motivating crew members' o Attending Wedding Expos to represent and promote The Terrace/ The Grand Terrace to potential Brides and Grooms and networking with other professionals in the Wedding lndustry.
