Large utilities outage management upgrade (Eversource): Led an outage management program upgrade from NMS 1.11 (Network Management System) to 2.4 and OUA 2.7 (Oracle Utilities Analytics) reporting tool. Created innovative SharePoint custom list to track project risks, action items and issues with automated features to keep team organized and increase productivity.

Led Testing initiatives for multiple Workday deployments. This included recruiting, performance connections, employee self-service and digital competencies for 18 countries. Was also the QA lead for the Rockwell Collins acquisition.

Stood up a QA team. Managed the team from onboarding through significant project contributions and deliverables.

IFP (individual family plans). Led projects delivering outstanding quality allowing Cigna to effectively and successfully participate in the health plan exchange program.

TCoE (Testing Center of Excellence): Key organizer and lead for implementation a TCoE for Cigna. Some notable efforts and benefits were identifying most effective approaches, identifying repeatable processes, ensuring consistency across the team, streamlining documentation, defined roles and responsibilities, early test team engagement, centrally located document repository, created an innovative reusable test data repository, test estimations, regression test bed and a mentorship program.

AIMS: Led many aspects of a challenging campaign to migrate Cigna’s book of pharmacy business from a legacy platform to a new and upgraded Argus RxNova platform.

Pharmacy Injectable Redirecting tool: Multimillion-dollar enterprise-wide project. Led all planning and execution initiatives for this new ground-up, industry-leading UI. This powerful tool provided Pharmacy Benefit Managers all the details necessary to redirect individuals to cost effective facilities, for drug administration. The tool utilizes ETLs, web services/APIs, called procedures, database storage and reporting. Significant savings for clients and their membership were realized.

Cigna Pharmacy PBM transition from Argus to Catamaran: Significant transfer of customers from Argus to Catamaran. This required many existing functions to be developed and moved to Catamaran (PBM).

Pharmacy Claim Enhancements (PCE): Drug Utilization, On-line drug price quote tool and other internal applications.

Go to Market: This allowed Cigna to be highly competitive with benefit offerings for all market segments on multi-tiered pharmacy plans. This included multiple consumer outreach programs.

Vendor management: As the QA vendor liaison and architect lead, significant cost and time savings were realized by consolidating the team’s project-driven requests. The reduction of overall requests allowed for more competitive service level agreements.

Production Support Senior Manager (FTE)

Restructured and organized a 24/7 international production support team, managing a multimillion-dollar tier 1 highly integrated Salesforce clinical application with over 5000 users.

Facilitated daily cadence covering key areas. Offshore updates/handoff, escalations, incidents requiring guidance, aging tickets, weekend checkouts and project updates.

Actively engaged with scrum teams, train leads and operations to bridge gaps for transparency between teams. The team began to attend PI (program increment) read outs, daily train reviews, access to the scrum team’s sprint deliverables (Rally) and MVP demos and actively participated in special cross-team projects.
