Naval Facilities Engineering Command – Fort Worth, TX 2018 – Present HVAC Mechanic

As HVAC and Refrigeration Mechanic installs, maintained and repaired (both major and minor) air conditioning and refrigeration equipment from -ton systems to 300-ton systems to include to 2 HP centrifugal compressors, condensers, and dry and wet type evaporators.

• Performed maintenance on units of 3 pressures (high, medium, and low) ranging from 20-ton capacity to 130-ton, consisting of dampers, bearings, pulleys, air washers, direct expansion coils, chill water coils, and motors with multi-belt sheave and steam grid humidifiers.

• Worked and performed preventive maintenance on diffusers, induction cabinets, mixing boxes and motorized damper. Maintained exhaust fans, fume hood fans, and both direct and belt-driving types.

• Completed operations of the Energy Management System including thermal. Installed, maintained, and calibrated both electronic and pneumatic controls such as relays, humidistats, temperature controls, solenoid valves, chiller water valves, steam valves and other components used in conjunction with air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating system.

• Worked with voltage from 24V AC and DC to 480V AC and with 1 phase and 3-phacse. Installed and service electric motors from 1/6 HP to 4 HP, these are used on air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and exhaust systems.
