Mrs. Andrea’s Preschool Class
This Week
We are starting a theme on Spring/Plants. In Large Group, we will read books about springtime. In small groups we will be creating shape gardens. We are also continuing to work on our end of the year assessments and will be assessing size, quality, spatial relations, quantity and temporal relation terms. As your children have now learned our classroom routine and rules, we are slowly giving them access to more and more materials to work with every week. This week we are getting out the X-rays in the science area, rubbing plates in the art area, triangles in the music area, condiments in the dramatic play area, and a conveyor belt, elevator and a crane in the block area. These are just a few activities we have planned. We are looking forward to learning and interacting with our friends this week!
Reminders
-Please make sure your child has an extra change of clothes (socks, underwear, pants/short, shirt) in their backpacks everyday. Even if they are potty trained, children at this age have occasional accidents and sometimes spill food, etc.
-If your child is going to Kindergarten next year please register them ASAP. You will find all the information regarding this on our Google Classroom but please contact me if you cannot find it.
Dates to Remember
4/21: -Ali’s BDay
May 18th = Last Day of School
DEAR PARENTS,
It is important for children to know your name, their address and one phone number in case anything ever happens and they get separated from you. Please work on this with your child at home. Of course, this may come easier to some than it will to others, so be patient and make it fun.
Contact me with any concerns/questions/comments!
