Serves as Environmental Protection Specialist responsible for the management, coordination, oversight, and execution of multiple environmental programs such as, but not limited to: solid/hazardous waste, compliance assessments, pollution prevention, water quality management, natural resources, cultural resources and environmental reporting. •Plans and establishes short and long-term environmental objectives for Transformation/Base Closure.

•Responsible for organizing, directing and controlling environmental inspections and resources related to mission accomplishment of Units relocating to Camp Humphreys.

•Coordinates and/or participates in installation environmental assessments, and visits by higher commands and other stakeholders.

•Reviews accomplishments of the Compliance and Spill Response program for technical adequacy, consistency and compliance with policies, procedures, and directives to ensure progress toward goals, meeting of milestones, operations situations for forecasting, planning and funding programs.

•Reviews policies, directives, regulations, and guidance from IMCOM, Department of the Army (DA), USFK, and local environmental agencies to determine impacts on Area II environmental activities.

•Works closely with installation environmental engineers, AEC Regional Environmental Offices, and IMCOM regional team to ensure policies, plans, and procedures are reasonably executed at the installation level.

•Assesses, analyzes and collates environmental performance data and reporting information to internal staff, clients and regulatory bodies

•Manages environmental strategy budgets
