Review SAP notifications, provided by planning sections for the repetitive problems in the plant. Evaluate root cause and hence prepare a report indicating the solution for the chronic problems.

Involve in 5 Why’s study proposed by Business units related to chronic repetitive process or equipments.

Provide required data for the root cause analysis.

Involve in Hazop study and hence ensure all the recommendations are compiled and implemented by the EPC contractor

Involve in the RCA studies proposed by business unit for the complex problems and facilitated by API department for the incident capture, problem analysis, root cause analysis and solution development.

Prepare detailed engineering package for plant modification and capital projects which involve Scope Descriptions, project deliverables such as preparation of P&ID and markup, Data Sheets, Instrument plot plan, cost estimation, justification, scheduling, Instrument Specification etc.

Verification (at site) of existing facilities, existing drawings, for preparing detailed reports & documents required to be used as input data for completing design involved in the project

Technical Bid Evaluation, Prepare the Statement of Requirement for contract documents and carries out technical evaluation of contracted out projects including technical clarification to bidders through the Contracts Department and recommend the most successful bidder from Technical point of view.

Review of functional design specification documents of the vendors and Verifying the vendor supplied equipment that includes checking the scope of supply for instrumentation against PR specification and instruments meet the area classifications as specified.

Determine the testing plan, verify the scope and prepare the schedule based on construction completion dates and project schedule requirement. This includes scheduling supplier service engineers as required for initial operation and performance testing.

Review and compare the Instrument Data Base and the Distributed Control System Database and correcting any mismatch between them and reflecting the same on Instrument Loop Diagrams, Logic Diagrams etc.

Preparation of project deficiency report updating the Action Log Software Package accordingly for Corrective Action.

Prepare loop folder consisting of pertinent drawings, project specification, manufacturer instructions required to complete loop check, calibration and test of all plant process measuring instruments and standard testing instruments. FAMILIAR STANDARDS
