Project Director DTE Fermi NPP

Developed and implemented the recovery of large-scale nuclear projects that the utility was performing far below expectations. Recovered budget overspend projected to be $15M+, corrected project schedule issues that shortened project duration by 7+ critical path days. Organized, developed, mentored, and motivated project staff into an effective self-directed team of high performing professionals.

Vice President – Engineering & Maintenance Nawah Energy Company (UAE) Responsible for all functions of Engineering and Maintenance, including procurement, contract management and operational readiness for the first unit at Baraka Nuclear Station. Consultant Bruce Power MCR Project

Provided assessment reviews and implementation advice for the MCR project and station Work Management. Worked to develop process changes for the large MCR project and work with station work management for coordination processes changes.

Director Nuclear Projects and Construction Southern California Edison (SCE) Project Management Organization (PMO): Tasked with complete development of a new Project organization for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) from inception through implementation. This task included creation of a culture change, reinforced accountability throughout the organization, and integration of multiple working groups into an overall Projects organization that will effectively design, schedule, and execute modification packages in compliance with internal commitments, station objectives and corporate financial goals. Negotiated the Master Services Agreements

(MSAs) between SCE and Areva, Bechtel, CBI, and Westinghouse. Negotiated the contract with SGT for replacement of the Unit 3 reactor vessel head (contract value of $40M). Decommissioning Director (June2013)

Developed and implemented the project for decommissioning the two Combustion Engineering 1150Mw reactors at SONGS NPP. This assigned scope was from the initial shutdown of the plant, NRC licensing activities, contract development and implementation of the $4.4B USD project. Ocean intake and discharge structures including seawall replacement, Component Cooling Water Heat Exchanger replacement, Emergency Diesel Generator replacement, Emergency Core Cooling System upgrades, large organism exclusion device installation, main control room modifications. Security modifications and plant Cold and Dark modifications.

Developed the plan to initiate the decommission of SONGS Unit 2 and 3. Project is valued at $4.4B. Set up the decommissioning organization from decision to the final Decommissioning General Contractor was selected, including responsibility for the selection and negotiations of the DGC. Director, Business Development Black Diamond Services (contract) Developed and executed a comprehensive strategy for current and future services, company objectives and growth goals. This included strategic refinement, research, identification and building of key alliances, providing market expertise input, providing new business ideas/markets and presenting alternative methods to apply services into commercial nuclear and other industries. Gross revenues went from $10M per year to $115M as a result of the new business refinement. Project Manager Progress Energy – Crystal River Unit 3 (contract) Projects valued over $1.6 Billion

Containment Repair Project: Responsible to lead and manage all scope of the Containment Repair Project - Construction. Managed vendor selection and contract negotiations for construction vendor (SGT LLC). Directed construction activities through completion of concrete wall placement. Extended Power Uprate Project: Responsible for leading complete EPC phases of the EPU project. Led an extensive fabrication vendor oversight program of the major components valued at $160M. Management of suppliers work in seven

(7) countries.

Completed secondary design approval and continued uprate fuel analysis, licensing, and safety system upgrade design work. Implemented all field activities with construction, engineering, and procurement departments reporting to me.
