**** ***** *****, ************, *******

To whoever reads this letter and my resume, I thank you for considering me for the position. I am currently a 27-year-old part-time mortgage loan assistant, seeking employment as an administrative assistant or similar clerical role. I have the benefit of two years of administrative assistant experience and experience and training with Microsoft Office, as well as additional experience in service jobs, primarily as a cashier. I have an affinity for office environments and for working with both people and with data, and hope to bring my skill and experience to the forefront of any position I find myself in.

I have had a desire to work in an office setting, and am interested in government, law, finance, and other relevant fields to various positions. I believe that I am an individual that would be an asset to any company, agency or department, and am looking to work somewhere that will allow me to make the best of my abilities. In my most relevant position, I was a loan processor for Intercontinental Capital Group, a mortgage lender, where I honed my data entry and clerical skills, and showed great flexibility in any task, effortlessly managing both customer relations and acquiring information needed from businesses to facilitate the mortgage loan origination process. I currently serve as a mortgage loan officer assistant with Southwest Funding.

I believe, given the opportunity, there is no limit to my abilities, and that I would be a valuable investment of the time and money required to train me and develop me into a valued member of any team. I thank you once again for your consideration, and hope you find me to be worthy candidate for the position.

Objective

I am looking for a job where I can put my efforts and various educational and occupational experiences and disciplines to good use. I am hoping that my skills suit me to the role and that I might have a lifelong career that I can rely on.

Experience

Mortgage Loan Processing Assistant – Southwest Funding, May 2021 – Present

* In this position, I am assistanting the Indiana Branch Manager in filing loans, verifying employment, updating mortgage and credit statements, and maintaining Microsoft office files including word documents and Excel sheets pertaining to customers and ongoing transactions, as well as other broader clerical and administrative tasks applicable to any office setting.

Mortgage Loan Processor – Intercontinental Capital Group, December 2020 – May 2021

* In this position, I worked in both a data entry and customer service capacity, ordering and requesting documents from borrowers, employers, insurance companies, homeowner associations, banks, and other institutions involved with financial instruments. The job is highly self-motivated and the nature of the job, both in responsibilities and workload, can vary week to week. I have learned a lot about financial processes and laws, as well as scheduling, emailing, and filing that I previously did not know about.

Sales Associate - K&P Remodeling/Home Depot, June 2019 - July 2019

* In this position, I worked independently as an associate at Home Depot stores, providing basic customer service while also providing surveys to customers and guaging any interest in certain products, while signing up interested parties for in-home consultations for professionally installed home products. This role was without any direct supervision, requiring the use of office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, and computers to keep in touch with my manager and with the corporate office.

* In this position, I worked as a cashier in several different capacities, including the standard register, express lanes, as an attendant operating the self-checkout areas of the grocery store, and in the "fuel center", the on-sight gas station and convenience area. The work was very socially intensive, and required a good deal of multi-tasking, scanning and bagging groceries while maintaining conversation and giving attention and focus to the customers and their needs. I learned and operated the computer systems to a moderate degree, and performed duties beyond the role of cashier when there was need for additional courtesy clerks, stockers, or janitors.

Administrative Assistant - First Signature Lending, July 2014 - September 2016

* In this position, I served as an office assistant in a variety of ways, mainly in data entry and clerical roles.
