Promote the business whenever opportunities arise: The EMS Chief is the on-site manager for the provision of Emergency Medical Services at the Kandahar International Airfield and the Forward Operating Base (KAF) in Kandahar, Afghanistan. The Assistant to EMS Chief primarily assists the EMS Chief with the management of this service. The Assistant to EMS Chief is an understudy and therefore the duties and responsibilities of the position are the same as the EMS Chief.
Liaison and maintenance of rapport with client and major stakeholders. Manage the provision of emergency medical services, including all protocols, forms, reports, processes, resources, equipment and supplies:
Provide Medical Crash Crew Services for airfield operations. Provide first response emergency medical and trauma care for all incidents within the Forward Operating Base.
Provide medical evacuation or patient transfer services. Provide medical support to base community events.
Participate in base exercises in order to test emergency medical procedures. Manage compliance with all ASA and key stakeholder medical doctrine and procedures. Manage compliance with country legislation and laws including Australia and key stakeholder countries. Manage client and company specific reporting requirements. Manage client establishment requirements such as Airfield Driving, Badging and Fire Prevention.
