EXPERIENCE

Led the effort to increase profits from 2018 to 2019 despite relatively stagnant sales figures and 10-25% international tariffs on raw goods by implementing data-driven purchasing practices.

Conducted market research on new and existing vendors to identify the most competitive overall supply package then negotiated fair and favorable terms.

Negotiated contracts and/or all-in supply packages with vendors that have long-term, established relationships with Stepko. This allowed us to:

Collaborated with in-house product and procedure development teams to schedule and streamline the mass production of our more high-traffic parts.

Created and maintained a vendor follow-up calendar for open POs. Documented any relevant delinquencies by any carrier and/or vendor throughout the supply chain process. These logged delinquencies were used in ISO audits and other in-house evaluations.

Utilized and supervised part-time, temp, and outsourced labor to increase available assembly and sub-assembly levels while maintaining profit margins.

Oversaw inventory management, forecasted demand, and implemented inventory optimization procedures which helped reduce dead stock and helped utilize time more efficiently.

Implemented and trained crew members to use a new consolidated shipping system to reduce time spent on daily quote requests from roughly three hours per day to one hour per day total.

Aided the training of new and existing staff throughout different stages of their development, promoting a culture of collaboration, improvement, and accountability.

Worked closely with the President and the finance team to develop and maintain fluid supply chain budgets and expected payment calendars.
