03/31/2008 to Present: Special Agent, Document Benefits Fraud Task Force (DBFTF), Philadelphia

Special agent assigned to the DBFTF which conducts visa and passport fraud, identity theft, bank fraud, unemployment and insurance fraud, financial investigations, tax violations, money laundering, human trafficking, and other Federal violations. Coordinate investigative activities with other federal, state, local law enforcement and private stakeholders. Lead investigative teams in conducting complex investigations, search warrants, seizures, arrests, surveillances, and dignitary protection details. Analyze and evaluate evidence in accordance with rules of evidence and criminal procedures, apply investigative techniques, testify in court, interview witnesses, and prepare reports of investigations and affidavits. Obtain evidence and trace illegal proceeds from analyzing records from financial institutions businesses’ books and records. Review Suspicious Activity Reports (SARS), Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) FinCEN information and coordinate with the bank’s financial investigator. Regularly brief and advise prosecutors, high level government officials and investigators from many agencies on case status and investigative techniques.

Design and conduct briefings to educate other law enforcement personnel on case weaknesses, incomplete evidence, alternative investigative steps, and mythology to dismantle criminal organizations and security procedures during protection details or major events to include the Olympics. As a senior agent encourage vital team participation to accomplish tasks. Utilize computer software programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and i2 Analyst Notebook to prepare and maintain detailed case documentation and classroom presentation.

05/12/2004 to 03/30/2008: Special Agent, DS’s Philadelphia and Washington, DC Offices:

Conducted criminal investigations for violations of federal passport and visa statutes. Conducted background and other investigations. Protected the Secretary of State and foreign diplomats. Served temporary duty assignments to various U.S. embassies.

10/19/2003 to 05/11/2004: Staff Assistant/Special Agent, Diplomatic Security Headquarters, Office of Domestic Operations

The Office of Domestic Operations manages the 50 plus DS Field Offices, where the agents conduct federal criminal investigations related to document fraud to include passport and visa fraud.

U.S. Mint Police

02/1998 to 10/2003: Police Officer and then promoted to Lieutenant. Supervised over 20 uniformed U.S. Mint police officers, oversaw assignments, coordinated, and implemented new policy and procedures. Trained new officers in post orders and assignments, supervised arrests and held daily briefings. Physical fitness coordinator. Defensive tactics instructor teaching defensive tactic skills in accordance with policies and court decisions regarding the use of force and arrest authority.

DS Temporary Assignments, Liaison and Coordination with Foreign Law Enforcement:

DS protects the U.S. Olympic and National Teams when they are overseas. My adjunct duty is to serve in these assignments. For all I worked with foreign security agencies and our collaborative duties covered the range from pre-event planning, intelligence sharing, crisis response planning, imbed security, and the actual protection of the teams:
