Recent Mechanical Engineering graduate seeking a challenging position in the Defense Industry, Space Travel, Aeronautical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering. Designed a six-cylinder engine using SolidWorks design package within core class. Acted as the Electrical and Documentation lead of a seven-member team to design, revise, and build an Active Single-Axis Rocket Attitude Controller for a senior design project. Actively worked with an Electrical Journeyman to install, maintain, and repair residential systems over 2 years to help pay for school. The combination of School Projects and Electrician work helped developed an understanding of how teams both interact within itself and interaction with other sub-teams, an appreciation for the overall big picture of a project, and the increased capabilities of problem solving. Favorite classes included Thermodynamics II, Dynamics, and Control Systems.

Education: University of Alabama, Huntsville

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering May 2023 UAH Charger Distinction Scholarship 2019-2023

UAH Dean’s List Spring 2021

Extracurricular American of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Student Member 2021-2022 Activities: Weight Training Spring 2022 – Present Guitar Fall 2019 – Present

House Remodeling Spring 2023 - Present

Work K-Electric May 2020 – August 2021

Experience: Electrician Apprentice

Demonstrated proficiency in interoperating electrical blueprints and following safety procedures to ensure compliance within local residential electrical code. Collaborated with a team of four to five electricians to complete over sixty-five projects on time with a turnaround rate of two and a half days per project, developing strong teamwork and communication skills.

School Active Single Axis Rocket Attitude Controller May 2020 – August 2021 Projects: Electrical & Documentation Lead

A Proportional Integration Derivative (PID) controlled system capable of utilizing compressed air to hold and adjust Rocket Attitude based on user input in a Graphic User Interface (GUI).

Researched, selected, and implemented critical electronic components, such as Stepper Motors, Pressure Gauges, Microcontroller, and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance, based on specified criteria that included a margin of error of 2 and a rise time of less than 15 seconds. Played a pivotal role in identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical design oversights during the assembly phase, enhancing the controller’s reliability and functionality. Collaborated closely with other sub-teams, fostering effective communication and teamwork to successfully complete the overall system and associated documentation. Six-Cylinder Computer Aided Design Rendering Fall 2020 Intro to Computational Tools (MAE 211)

Worked 80-man hours for sophomore designed engine using SolidWorks. Additional Basic Proficiency: Python, C++

Skills: Intermediate Proficiency: SolidWorks, Patran/Nastran, MATLAB Advanced Proficiency: Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
