Responsible for assisting in the activity calendar planning and implementation. Coordinates activities with other resident services and activities, as directed by the Director of Resident Life Enrichment.

Interviews residents and/or family members to determine activity and program preferences and implements preferences under the guidance of the Director.

Facilitates group programs as assigned in a timely and efficient manner ensuring that programs stay on schedule by using communication techniques to assist residents in maintaining focus, to re-direct a conversation, etc.

Coordinates and accompanies residents on outings ensuring resident safety. May serve as a driver to outings if approved to do so.

Communicates orally and/or in writing with appropriate staff regarding observations of resident condition including reaction to activities, ability and/or willingness to participate in activities, and changes in physical abilities.

Encourages and assists residents in participation in scheduled activities and maintains an attendance log.
