Dear Sir/Madam,
I have carefully reviewed the job description and requirements, and I feel confident I would be an ideal fit for this position.
I like to consider myself a “multi-Hyphenate”; problem solver, challenge-facer, angry-customer whisperer.
I have more than 30 years of experience in the Customer Service Area and 17+ years of experience working as a Senior Medical Manager with medical records, ICD-10, CPT coding and a successful track record of problem solving, communication, data entry and doing “whatever it takes” to ensure an exceptional workplace experience, whether in an office or my home office. My years as a Senior Medical Manager in the CA Workers’ Compensation industry have taught me the significance of clear communications, compassion, and exceptional service with a remarkably diverse customer base.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize.
Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment.
Pays strong attention to detail.
Understanding of insurance processing and billing office functions.
Proficient in computer basic Windows operating systems, practice management systems, phones, and basic office equipment.
Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone and in written communication.
Ability to work routinely with confidential medical records and maintain their confidentiality. Knowledge of the collections process and applicable law and regulations.
I am a self-directed worker who functions well both autonomously and as part of a team. My highly focused and detail-oriented approach to my work will serve me well in a home-based position (if one is available). I have a quiet room to work from with a door, internet, and phone as well as a USB headset if needed.
I am interested in locating employment outside of my current position, as the hours have decreased and the need for extra hours and income has become necessary. Now, I am currently working 20+ hours a week or less, between the hours of 8:00AM-5:30PM PST, Monday – Friday, and will have no issues performing work remotely. If hired full time, I will be ending my current employment.
Now, I am currently performing as a Senior Director of Utilization Review, Researcher and QA/QC on submitted reports, as I have fully trained the person, I have selected to perform data entry of requested referrals for review by our Clinical Director and Utilization Review staff.
I have also worked for over 6 years as an independent contractor and am aware of what it entails, as being responsible for my attendance, staying focused on the task at hand and being responsible for my own taxes such as federal, state, and local, should the job entail my being IC.
It is with great enthusiasm that I submit this cover letter and resume for your review and consideration. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the position and my qualifications to fill the role. I have no issues with the time zones. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Terri A Snider
