Quality Manager with an associate degree in nondestructive testing over 20 years in quality would like to sign on with a good company that could utilize my education and experience in the fields of quality and nondestructive testing. Quality Manager and NDT/CWI Experience

Klute 2021 to current

• Currently Quality Manager at a Steel substation component manufacture. Worked with quality and management personnel to maintain the QMS that included Quality manual and QIS quality information system, CAR Corrective action database also Nonconformance database and procedures, Document control database revision control, quality plans and work instructions and procedures. Training of new people on the QMS quality statement and quality goals.

*Conducting a management review at least annually included: reporting KPI metrics, evaluation of suppliers, risk management, customer feedback, effectiveness of corrective action, results of PM of equipment.

*personally performing visual CWI inspections as well as incoming material and first article.

*Personally calibrating / validating inspection gages as well as welding machines and coordinating external calibration were needed.

*Conducted internal audits and acted as liaison for external auditors from customers and from our accreditation agencies ISO 9001 and AISC.

*Reviewing contract documents prints and customer specs and applicable codes ensuring compliance.

*Making required PQR’s and WPS’s (with CVN requirements) coordinating with labs on PQR results. Testing and certifying new welder personnel processes of GMAW, SMAW, SAW as well as maintaining continuity log.

* Worked with implementing new STS barcode system that integrated with ERP system to create electronic traceability and replaced all our handwritten traveler part traceability

*Worked with implementing new robotic welders machines qualifying and certifying the processes

Quality tech and NDT/ CWI Experience

AGI Sentinel 2019 to 2021

• Most recent position Quality Technician at a Steel building manufacture hired primarily to achieve IAS “The international Accreditationc Service” shop accreditation (like an ISO 9001). Worked with quality and management personnel to setup a QMS that included Quality manual and QIS quality information system, CAR Corrective action database and procedures, Document control database and Document control procedures from beginning up thru the accreditation audit where Sentinel was awarded their IAS accreditation.

• Performing CWI certified weld inspector functions, Certified welders by administering weld tests to the applicable code requirements, performing PQR Procedure Qualification record tests to applicable code requirements, and writing WPS Welding Procedure Specification for the floor operators and welders.

• Implemented a gage calibration database system as well as gage calibration procedures to ensure gage traceability to NIST National Institute of Standards and Technology, Coordinating with external gage certification labs for the Calibration and certification of master gages.

• As a Quality technician I performed the internal process audits and trained personnel to quality procedures, also internal inspection processes to technical drawings tolerancing inspections, GD&T.

• Tasks include performing and overseeing Inspections to applicable codes and specifications both in-process and final of filament wound composite CNG tanks. Communicating with engineers creating and revising work procedures in accordance with ISO and later TS document control guidlines.

• Performing receiving inspections on incoming purchased parts from venders. Parts of various manufacturing methods: machined, molded, welded, extruded, rolled, cast and so on. Automotive quality core tools were implemented most experience with PPAP submission reviews, Certification of conformity review, AQL lot/batch part sampling, Visual inspection and NDT aided methods PT & MT, tolerancing inspections to GD&T principles via CMM arm.

Coordinating with third party inspection labs and reviewing inspection reports on parts that could not be inspected in-house such as X-ray inspections or chemical analysis inspections.

• Performing Nondestructive UT (TOFD) inspections on HDPE welded internal liner of the CNG tanks, created the (TOFD) UT calibration and annual personal certification procedures. Worked with engineers in developing experimental quantifiable thermography inspection for gaging severity of impact damage to the filament wound tanks.

• Continuous improvement by lean manufacturing Kaizen 5s, value-stream mapping,8D, DPPM analysis, and SCADA.

Tasks include performing and overseeing subordinate personnel inspections to applicable codes and specifications of welded structural wind tower components.
