I started at Nilit America in the packing department for the first two years. This is where I inspected and packed bobbins of yarn into boxes for shipment. I also learned to drive a Forklift truck. I would pick up the boxes that the employees packed and I would load the tractor trailer full of the boxes to be shipped. I then unloaded the supplies for each department for continuous work to be done. I worked this department for the first three years then transfered to the Spinning department. We made the bobbins of yarn in this department. I had to clean packs that the yarn flowed through at about six hundred degrees, had to wear safety gloves to not get burned. I ran the yarn until the order was complete for the customer then change the packs for the next order then repeat process.
