WHY ME, WHY NOW?

I am a self-driven and ambitious individual. I have ten years of experience studying, interning, and working in the media and entertainment industry. I am highly organized and motivated to learn new skills. I am a compelling writer and storyteller. I excel in a fast-paced environment, and I have a strong drive to succeed. In my free time I am a mental health advocate. I have single handedly built a reputation for myself and my journey through mental illness in the hopes of helping others. I have been featured on two podcasts centered on overcoming the obstacles of mental illness in the hopes of creating a meaningful life. I want my life to be an example. I want to show others that anyone can successfully go after their dreams regardless of the obstacles that they face.

CityLine Intern

Developed, pitched, and wrote the script for an original episode on mental health for an award-winning public affairs show. Featuring two state senators, a mental health advocate, the executive director of NAMI, a prominent psychiatrist, and a successful lawyer who lost his son to suicide. He has now committed his life to being a vocal part of the mental health community to preserve his son’s legacy and help others.

Efficiently booked and wrote questions for these guest interviews. This increased ratings and brought awareness to the mental health issues that were present during the onset of the pandemic. It also gave the mental health advocate the media exposure needed to get her booked on other television shows.

Utilized Hootsuite and Canva to significantly expand the engagement of CityLine’s audience through the creation of innovative and informative promotional social media posts across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
