WORK
Akamai — Software Engineer in Test Level 2 (promoted from level 1 on April, 2022)
June 2020 - Present @ Ottawa, ON
● Created a JavaScript-based effective, simple and maintainable performance testing automation suite that caught serious deficiencies in EdgeKV (our RESTful API key-value cloud storage product). Fixing those resulted in savings of $500M+ annually and 412% throughput increase for all of our customers on a network that’s used by billions of people, billions of times a day.
● Contributed to our JUnit-based regression testing suite that accounts for 98% code coverage.
● Created a Ruby-based E2E testing suite that tests a full, end-to-end customer workflow of EdgeKV.
● Created a deployment automation suite using Python and Jenkins to reduce release test week from 5 business days to less than a day, freeing up 60 business days annually.
● Created a check-listing automation suite using Python to utilize multi-threading, caching and communicating with a RESTful API to get information, resulting in a 100x increase in checklisting speed and savings of 30 business days annually.
● Mentored an intern to Jenkinize our checklisting application and create a RESTful API out of it for other internal teams to use. Medical Informatics— Software Engineer Intern
May 2019 - September 2019 @ Kingston, ON
● Created "ProstateCancer.ai" using React, an AI-based platform that reduces the process of diagnosing prostate cancer into just one click. Kingston General Hospital uses it as a second-opinion. Also, developed a React component that helps users intuitively input the location of a prostate, realized others wanted that component too, at a MedTech conference at MIT so I shared it on npm (avg 50 downloads a week).
Kinaxis — Software Engineer Intern
Jan 2018 - Dec 2018 @ Ottawa, ON
● Implemented "integer", a java-based workflow recorder that maps UI events to code, reducing customer bug-fix and automated test creation time from days to seconds.
