Work Experience
Medical Receptionist and Medical Assistant
Family Medicine and Mohr - Florence, SC
July 2020 to Present
I answer the phone calls for appointments, Help patients check in, Run eligibility to make sure all insurance for that scheduled day is active. I also have to find the insurance copay and deductible from our emr. Then before they see the physician, I collect the money. The phone calls I take are very different, some of them need refills, I send a message to Dr. Mohr or our MA. They need an appointment, to cancel an appointment, to find out if their test results are, pay their bills over the phone. I also answer questions from employee's and the patients. I take care of all medical records, I take care of all the new patients and check all the faxes then assign them to whomever works that fax. Authorization Specialist

I work better with people and also looking for good hours or work from home.

We worked denials from insurance company for billing pathology specimens. We billed for Florida Pathology, Arkansas Pathology, and Pee Dee Pathology. We mostly worked the denial's.
