I started as a Medical/Surgical nurse. I was so interested in all the cardiac arrest patients. I became ACLS certified and Med/Surg Certified. I started precepting new graduate students and became a charge nurse. Then started working with patients wanting to detox on our unit. Then, I became a local travel nurse to get more experience, then became a telemetry nurse, did some skilled nursing settings, work on Progressive care unit at Menorah medical center, then started traveling as a telemetry nurse, came back, became an intermediate ICU nurse at a level I and II hospital and then got hired on permanent as an ICU nurse, became an open-heart nurse on the unit, precepted new graduate nurse their at Liberty hospital. Then traveled to Nevada to help my daughter with my grandson since my daughter is a single parent in the US Navy. I worked in a small four-bed ICU and precepted new graduate nurses and travelers to the unit. Transferred to the ER department to keep my trauma certification, wanted to continue with the fast-paced environment I was used to working daily at Liberty hospital. I love nursing, and I love what I do for all my patients. I enjoy being a team player when it comes to helping my colleagues.
