PROFILE

Deputy Sheriff for 25 years. During that time, I was able to do many things. I became a member of the SWAT Team in just my 2nd year at the agency. Eventually, I become one of the SWAT Team Leaders. I did that for about 16 years. I am certified in speed measuring instruments, including RADAR and LIDAR. I enjoy traffic safety. I am also a Crash Reconstructionist and have worked many fatalities in which I believe could have been prevented if proper measures were taken. I look to continue to serve my community in every way possible and BRAKES does a fantastic job at teaching teens and parents about safety and skills that might prevent them from being involved in a serious accident.

Lead Firearms Instructor for the local community college. I was responsible for training aspiring police officer in the proper use and safety of firearms. It was also my responsibility to ensure that each student passed the state mandated course of fire to become certified in North Carolina,

I also instructed in Patrol techniques, which entails teaching student the correct way to approach building in a dangerous situation, I also instructed the in the safe way to clear rooms, hallways and large structures in the daytime as well as at night.
