I am an experienced professional with vast experience in the hospitality industry and a degree in hotel management from the premier hotel management institute in India. I have worked 11 years at the Taj Group of Hotels (premier 5 star hotel chain in India) in New Delhi and was in the opening team of Taj Bengal Hotel in the Bakery department. I have also worked for over 17 years for Cunard (parent US/Canadian company of many premier cruise liners) in luxury liners such as Queen Elizabeth 2 and Queen Mary 2 in the various positions of responsibility within the Bakery department. During the course of my career, I have undergone specialty trainings at CIGA chain of hotels in Vienna as well as at Culinary Institute of Americas. My areas of specialization within bakery are in European Breads and Lamination. I have also worked as a Bakery consultant for several large chains of restaurants as well as a lecturer in Bakery for an institute in hotel management.
I have recently moved to the US to be near my only son. In the time I have been here, I have worked as a kitchen volunteer in two non-profits while I waited for my permanent residency to process. Now that I am a US permanent resident, I am looking for full time employment in the hospitality or service industries.
