I am confident in managing routine and high-risk pregnancies and general gynecological disorders. I can perform all major and minor obstetric procedures independently including cesarean sections, instrumental delivery, perineal tear repairs etc. I have performed a cesarean hysterectomy under indirect supervision. I have also performed numerous abdominal hysterectomies independently. Besides this, I can perform diagnostic and selected operative laparoscopic procedures independently. Research Projects:

Quality improvement project on vaginal birth after Cesarean section at Oasis Hospital, 2017-2018

In this quality improvement initiative, we investigated the factors involved in acceptance and success of vaginal birth after Cesarean section. Our group identified the insufficient patient education as a major factor in reluctance to attempt vaginal birth after cesarean section. To improve education and counseling, we designed patient education documents in multiple languages and incorporated those in the electronic patient records of patients in the acceptance and success rate of vaginal birth after cesarean section. Protocol for management of diabetes in labor at oasis hospital, 2019 I updated the existing hospital protocol for the management of diabetes mellitus in labor. The protocol was presented to the guideline development group at the hospital and implemented with minor changes.

Maternal Morbidity and mortality meeting organizer at oasis hospital, 2019 WHO Multicounty Survey on Maternal and Newborn Health, 2011 I participated in the WHO Multi-country Survey on Maternal and Newborn Health as regional coordinator. This study was conducted in 26 countries all over the world. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to study the incidence and management of maternal and neonatal conditions associated with maternal and neonatal mortality in a worldwide network of health facilities. The survey investigated the near-miss concept and availability and use of preventive and therapeutic interventions in the prevention and treatment of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality.
