• Directly responsible for the site supervision of multiple capital projects of Iyinisiw at Howe Sound Pulp and Paper which includes civil/structural/mechanical/electrical and instrumentation with different trades and contractors and multiple fleet equipment.

• Perform resource planning in terms of material requirements, tools and equipment to coordinate with contractors. Raise purchase requisitions for any material requirements and review quotes as required by procurement. Assist in creating shutdown work packages including resource planning.

• Assist in plant outage preparation in matters of equipment shutdown activities and work packages.

• Daily/weekly review and update progress with work packages/ RFIs and site instructions with contractors.

• Perform quality audit on completed work package and coordinate with QA/QC to ensure integrity of all the works are being checked and certified. Walk down with the owner’s inspector for final approval.

• Sign daily construction permits to all contractors and ensure all contractors and tradesmen are working safely and following safety working guidelines like FLRAs, JHAs, work permits(LOTO, confined space entry, hot work) and all PPEs.

• Prepare Site Work Instructions and review CORs for any alterations, and additional scope of work. Review with Site Manager all bid quotes and assign/appropriate budget for each work package. Implement and manage contract as per terms and conditions.

• Assist engineering and operations in reviewing/modifying design package for effective and efficient process equipment installation and operations. Assist operations in system commissioning.
