As an office manager, I am in charge of making sure the office runs smoothly and efficiently. I must keep track of all client activity, including, but not limited to the uploading of client documents (either by drop-off in office, or virtually), I handle any and all client issues. I have to keep track of when returns are started, to make sure they are completed in a timely manner. I schedule appts, leaving detailed notes for tax pros. I order all supplies. I make sure all returns are accepted and if rejected, I inform the tax pros of the reason why, and how to fix them. I update notes on clients daily, to keep tax pros aware of what is going on.
