Project Description: Customer Service Process shipment (CSPS) performs the booking of new shipments and further processes till the shipment is confirmed. MAERSK LINE receives booking either through Telephone/Fax/e-mail or e-shipments (EDI). Shipments received through
Telephone/Fax/e-mail come under manual triggering shipments and shipments received via EDI, Intra Internet Portal, and Intra desktop, MAERSK LINE website, Submarine website and MCC website come under automatic triggering shipments. Manual Shipments (Phone/Fax/Email): CSA team receives manual shipment information with which they fill in the initial details and trigger the workflow. Automatic Shipment (e-Shipment): e-shipments are received from GCSS, details of which will be sending to workflow (GSC Team will receive all the activities). Customer Service Process shipment mainly deals with receiving shipment details from the customer and creating a booking request based on these details. After capturing the data for the booking, user can review the customer’s requirements against other factors such as product availability, space availability, equipment availability etc.

Manifest creation activity for a shipment. The instances are created via messages received in the BPM through a JMSQueue. The JMSQueue is populated via IBM MQ through OSB. The OSB acts as a middleware for connecting the BPM with the various interfaces like database, ILOG JRules and the various inputs including the messages. CSED process is a business process which is used to verify all the documentation required before the real shipment occurs. There are lots of workflows involved before B/L is issued.

Project Description: The basic function of the pricing application is to come up with a figure called the NSP, or Net Single Premium, that MetLife shall charge its clients to take over the client's retirement benefit liability to all its employees. The NSP is a one-time payment that the client makes to MetLife. The pricing application calculates this figure. As input, it takes the details of all the employees due to receive the benefits, as well as certain statistical tables and parameters. The methodology followed is roughly the present values of the future expected cash-outflows to each annuitant are calculated and the sum of these present values gives the present value of the entire liability. This, added to other expenses and expected profits, gives the net single premium.
