I am interested in many healing modalities including chiropractic medicine, Egoscue

postural alignment therapy, yoga, as well as Ayurvedic medicine. I owned my own 7 office health clinic for 14 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico and recently sold it to relocate to Portland, Oregon. I am looking for opportunities to increase my knowledge and serve the community using the skills I have gained over the past 20 years. Experience

2004-2018

Owner of New Direction Chiropractic in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I opened my clinic in 2004 and after 14 years I sold it. The business was located in the University area of Albuquerque and contained 2 massage therapists, an Egoscue certified practitioner teaching the Egoscue method and a reflexologist. The clinic was seeing around 100 patient visits per week and I had 3000 patient files. It sold in July of this year. 2000-2002

Chirocare of Tempio Pausania

I worked in a clinic in Sardinia, Italy for 1.5 years and was able to learn the Italian language enough to be conversational. I treated patients in the small town of Tempio Pausania, and people came from miles away to see me because there were only 2 chiropractors on the whole island at the time.

1998-2000

Norwich Chiropractic Center

I worked as a chiropractor in Norwich, England for a little over a year. This was my first chiropractic job and it was a wonderful opportunity since there were not very many chiropractors in the area at the time and I got to treat many different types of conditions. Kelly Coogan D.C.

Skills

Chiropractic techniques ranging from Cox technique, Thompson, Diversified, upper cervical, SOT and pelvic floor rehabilitation. I have over 20 years experience with working with people in pain and since completing my Egoscue certification I am able to instruct people how to perform exercises so that they can hold their alignment much more effectively than with chiropractic alone. I work well with others and love to learn. I speak Spanish and some Italian.
