LEP Special Fasteners, Inc., Frankfort, IN 2004 – 2013

Director of Engineering and Quality Assurance for the Americas (2011 – 2013)

Responsibilities include the handling of all Customer engineering and quality issues for North America and South America, including Mexico. Customer base includes Caterpillar, Inc., Cummins Engine, John Deere, Chrysler, Volkswagen and Delphi. Reports and coordinates issues to 17 manufacturing sites within the Fontana Group. The sites are located in Italy, France and Indiana. Responsibilities included all company certifications, ISO 9001-2008/TS 16949:2009 and ISO 17025 through A2LA, QMS, customer complaints and scorecards, Management Review, both customer and internal PPM levels and costs of non-quality within the organization. Supervised 11 direct reports. Accountable for APQP, Product Launch, PPAP, gage design and calibration, plant metallurgy, and certificate of compliance.

Director of Engineering (2004-2006)

Tri-Mas Incorporated - hired to manage the engineering departments of 4 locations with Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio. Established the systems within each location for quoting, applications engineering and quality control. Led the re-certification from QS9000 to TS 16949. Reported to the President for the company.
