As a volunteer coordinator some of my responsibilities include recruiting and training new volunteers, keeping a database of volunteer information and skills, matching volunteers to opportunities that suit their skills, keeping volunteers informed, and conveying the organization's purpose to the public. I am responsible for tracking volunteer hours and managing award programs. Since volunteers are not paid, tracking a volunteer’s time with the organization is important, and allows the non for profit organization to recognize the person with certificates or other mementos.

I make sure to ensure that the team is compliant with the policies and procedures of the organization and offer consistency in service delivery.
