I’m Currently employed in a full-time contract with Broker Direct PLC. I have been with them since 2018 as a Credit Controller and Finance Operations Administrator
My current role is varied and challenging. I deal with personal customer credit management who pay by instalments whilst simultaneously managing a B2B credit management panel of approximately 600 statements.
As part of my credit control function, I manage the order through to cash. I deal with queries to conclusions, and negotiate the best outcome for both parties, whilst protecting our debtor asset. I produce statements ensuring the content is correct, by reviewing the transaction therein as part of a quality control exercise; and reconciling the receipts to our database. I ensure that the bad debt balance is minimal, by chasing outstanding debts till paid.
I am proficient in finance operations, and I am fully conversant in using our in-house databases and Microsoft Office programs. I handle internet banking, use EPDQ for card collections, and process BACs reports to/from the business, sending for direct debit collections and rejections.
I have knowledge of FCA rules regarding client money, TCF, vulnerable customers, and consumer duty. I am trained in all aspects of BACs processing rules and PCI-DSS rules.

As a manager it was my duty to ensure the store run smoothly daily. This consisted of stock rotation/ daily stock counts, recruiting and training staff, banking, and meeting food safety regulations among many other tasks.
