This is a hugely influential role, responsibilities covering multiple Joint Ventures over a broad geographical area within Egypt, MENA onshore and offshore. However directly responsible for day to day operations under secondment to one of Egypt’s largest energy BAPETCO producer covering 5 J.Vs and multiple license areas, this includes developing BAPETCO operations Management from the transition post SHELL divestment, implement and oversight of significant environmental legacy remediation projects. Continuous liaison with EGPC and JV partners, resolving significant challenges including asset integrity, production decline and life extension campaigns. OPEX $150m + with a corporate workforce over 5000+ persons, contributing over 50 Million man hrs per year including 5 drilling contractors. BAPETCO work within a very dynamic environment with some significant challenges related to JV partners and asset management post divestment so requires significant planning and soft skills to minimize risk and optimize outcomes

This is a single point accountability for all operational aspects field development activities within Ain Tsila gas development license located in Southern Algeria. Ain Tsila is classed as a Mega Development of $ 1 Billion + and as such forms part of Algeria’s future energy growth commitments.
The director’s position is responsible for shaping the field development including developing of operations, production and maintenance high level strategic goals developing performance KPIs for competency assurance, training, Maintenance strategy and service providers C&P etc.
The position acts as budget holder and is accountable to the GM and COO of the Groupmont Business Unit for delivery. Ain Tsila poses a significant challenge technically, commercially and strategically for all JV partners, it requires significant interface and soft skills with all stakeholders (drilling, government, C&P) and ensures that the development remains on track whilst meeting the overall Governance / compliance milestones.
