Versa Cold LaPorte Texas (Americold) – The 88,000 SF expansion entailed enlarging the existing -10 freezer, refrigerated dock and deslatting areas; five new blast cells were also added. A new ammonia engine room was necessary to support the expansion. The project was designed for 40’ clear and features a shrink-compensating concrete slab and a Sarnafil mechanically fastened roof system.
Loop Cold Storage McAllen Texas (Lineage Logistics) – The original design-build assignment for the greenfield facility encompassed 45,000 SF with 12 convertible rooms that operate from 34 F to 55 F. The project also included 20 vertical-storing hydraulic dock positions and a new Sub Zero freon refrigeration system.

Performance Food Service Knoxville (Louisville) Tennessee – Cold dock ceiling renovation – extensive relocation of major electrical services – all done while facility in operation.
Americold Plainville Connecticut – 259,000 sf ground up totally automated facility to include 13,500,000 cf ASRS inbound storage to include 8 vertical cranes 140’ tall at -10 degrees and 13,500,000 cf Dematic DMS outbound storage at -20 degrees – 4 floors of automated picking, sorting, and packaging equipment – complete new remote refrigeration motor room utilizing freon / CO2 refrigerant and 14 roof mounted penthouses – additional fuel cell system producing backup power for the refrigeration system – 25,000 sf new 2 story office
Automatic order fulfillment of freezer case product picked via robotics for pallet building for retail in store aisle delivery. This system helps to eliminate multiple handlings of case products and minimizes stress on worked to keep store shelves stocked.
Full pallets received and stored in an eight crane ASRS rack supported facility with ~30,700 pallet positions.
Pallets retrieved from the ASRS and delivered via powered roller conveyor systems to nine automatic robot delayering stations to remove cases.
Cases “waterfall” onto trays for transport into a case shuttle system for order fulfillment.
The Dematic Multishuttle® stores, buffers and sequences products between bulk stock and other functions such as picking and order assembly. The system offers exceptionally high throughput rates; high-density storage; modular flexibility; and is efficient, accurate and reliable.
Finished pallets are delivered automatically to a two-crane ASRS Pack and Hold system with a 680 pallet position rack system for outbound transport on trailers for delivery at retail stores.
Kroger North Las Vegas – Assisted in the startup of this 983,000 sf 100 acre project managing the excavation of 1.5 million cf of dirt encompassing 70 million gallons of water for dust control.
IDS (Trader John’s) Franklin Kentucky – Assisted in the startup of excavation for this 100 acre site to include the remediation of 33 anomalies (sink holes)
True Blue Warehouse (Kottke Trucking) Lake Alfred Florida – Assisted in the close out of this project by developing the final punch list and managing the completion of the punch list with the various subcontractors.
Saxum Real Estate Burleson Texas – Assisted the project team as they were adding the 4th site superintendent. Managed the ongoing construction activities until the new superintendent was added. Stayed on for 30 days after the new superintendent was added. Because of the problems associated with this site, it caused the client to postpone the project that I was to go to next, resulting in my layoff effective 8/4/2023.
